Wilby Unified Sports Plays Well Against Crosby
All of the students involved played a wonderful game and had a great time.
WATERBURY — Wilby’s Unified Sports team had a basketball scrimmage against Crosby Tuesday afternoon. Captain Maliyah Parker led the Wildcat squad, while Edwin Dejesus, Joao DeSouza, Bryan Collado, and partner Sumreen Moughal worked diligently for a decisive win over Crosby 11 to 9. All of the students had a blast, said Mrs. Stroud, head coach of the Wilby Unified Sports Team.
“On a personal note, it was heart-warming to see the kids enjoying themselves with a little piece of normalcy,” Mrs. Stroud said after the game.
