Wilby Physical Education Department Kicks Off Aquatics Unit

The physical education department at Wilby High School is currently in the midst of its aquatics unit. This includes swimming and diving lessons, aqua exercise and aquatic games (team bowling, Egyptian baseball and water polo).
“Students who want to learn to dive must be proficient swimmers and complete a deep water swim test,” said Miss Lori Stroud, department chair for physical education.
The unit is going well and most students are doing a nice job participating in PE class, Stroud said.
“These are some photos from several classes and they include a Unified student who, although visually impaired, had a blast in the water,” Miss Stroud said.
